Chief Minister Siddaramaiah presented his 17th budget on Friday. During this, he said that the Central Government is not following the federal governance system. Because of this injustice is being done to Karnataka. The Chief Minister said that the state government is adopting such a development strategy in which a balance has been struck between public welfare schemes and investment in infrastructure. In this, attention is also being given to long-term economic changes.

He appealed to the Central Government to become more sensitive towards the demands of the state. While presenting the budget for the year 2026-27, Siddaramaiah said that Karnataka is at the forefront in the development of the country. It is one of the major states paying the highest taxes in the country. He informed that the total expenditure for the year 2026-27 is estimated to be Rs 4,48,004 crore. This is the 17th budget of Siddaramaiah’s political career.

During the budget speech, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah alleged that Central government is not doing financial justice to Karnataka And the resources available to the state are being reduced. He said that the state makes a huge contribution to the country’s economy, but does not get adequate support in return.
