Prof. Dr. Mamidanna Sreedhar, an eminent scientist and academic leader with roots in Andhra Pradesh, has been formally felicitated by Ramdas Athawale, Union Minister of State, in recognition of his exceptional contributions to artificial intelligence, medical innovation, and higher education reform.
With a career that bridges global research ecosystems and Indian academic institutions, Prof. Dr. Sreedhar represents a rare blend of technological expertise and visionary leadership. After completing his early education in India, he advanced to the United States for higher studies, where he immersed himself in interdisciplinary research across computer science, engineering, and biomedical sciences.
During his international tenure, he served as a Consultant and Scientist at IBM Research & Development Labs in the USA and Canada. His work focused on cloud computing infrastructure, advanced system architectures, and emerging artificial intelligence applications—experience that later shaped his mission to strengthen India’s research capabilities.
In 2010, driven by a commitment to nation-building, he returned to India to contribute to academia and research development. He assumed senior leadership roles at institutions such as Karnataka Open University and Babu Banarasi Das University, where he led curriculum modernization initiatives, established interdisciplinary research centers, and secured competitive funding from national agencies.
Prof. Dr. Sreedhar’s academic contributions span artificial intelligence, cloud computing, medical sciences, psychology, engineering, and human rights. His recent book, “Role of AI in Medical Technology,” has received acclaim for presenting practical frameworks for AI-based diagnostics, precision medicine, intelligent monitoring systems, and digital hospital management. He has also authored “Clinical Anatomy and Functional Physiology,” a widely appreciated academic resource for medical and allied health students.
Beyond academia, he actively advises super-speciality hospitals on integrating AI solutions, clinical data analytics, and technology-driven patient care models—ensuring that innovation extends beyond theory into real-world healthcare systems.
The recognition by Union Minister Ramdas Athawale underscores Prof. Dr. Sreedhar’s growing influence as a thought leader in AI-enabled medical transformation. His journey—from international research labs to Indian universities and healthcare institutions—highlights the power of knowledge, innovation, and service in shaping a progressive and technology-driven future for India.
